Scroll Saw Patterns

Successful Scroll Saw Puzzle Cutting

To ensure that you get a puzzle that comes apart easily, use a square to make sure the blade is at 90-degree angle to the table. Also, be sure that you feed your work directly into the blade. If you push from the left or the right, you get an angle cut that prevents the puzzle from coming apart.

Scroll the outline of the puzzle first then, if possible make all inside cuts and inside line cuts prior to separating pieces.

Check frequently to insure blade has maintained proper tension and that it is at 90 degrees to the table.

Sand both sides of workpiece before scrolling.
